Stunning Bedroom Design

Stunning Bedroom Design
Interior design styles which focus on monochromatic colour schemes are becoming increasingly popular to create stunning bedrooms, which compliment the lifestyles of today's modern world.
Whilst more traditional styles of homes incorporate various colours in each room, contemporary designs use the same one or two colours throughout a home in order to achieve a sense of complete cohesion and balance, with accent colour, pieces of furniture, wall art or the natural light from widows which lead the eye effortlessly from one part of the house to the other.
More often than not it the ability to achieve this look which confuses the general public the most! That is the reason why more and more people are turning to the expertise of interior designers to provide them with the home of their dreams. For those whose budget does not stretch to engaging the services of a professional interior designer, can be inspired by the numerous magazines and websites which offer some great tips to achieving the look you are after.
Whichever style of home you live in keeping the same colour tones throughout the house offers a more friendly and welcoming sense of cohesion, and whilst many people will argue that colour is needed to not only brighten a room but to lift the spirit and balance the mind. This of course in true, however the amount of contrasting colours you use should be restricted if you want to achieve a sleek and stylish design scheme.
You should always have at least one room within your living space, or a quiet corner if you live in an open plan studio apartment, where you can relax and unwind. For many people this is the bedroom or the bathroom.
Many people believe the bathroom is where they can relax most successfully. Maybe because for most people this is the only room which you can have to yourself and be in complete privacy! Whilst for others it is the bedroom which is the place where they can find peace and tranquillity.
As bathrooms also have to be functional places they need to be decorated in colours which also offer a clean, crisp look. White being the main colour, with the coloured bathrooms in avocado green, dusky pink or wishy washy chocolate which were all the rage back in the 1970's being replaced once again with white, by many people. However, this does not mean to say that you have to have a clinical looking bathroom. Colour can easily be added by opting for widow dressings and towels in any colour you like.
The choice of bedroom décor needs to be those which are restful to the eyes and aesthetically appealing to those who use the room. Whether you opt for all white or a combination of two contrasting colours is entirely personal choice. With the vast numbers of different duvet sets available there are plenty to choose from to suit both your design style and budget.
Finding the right balance is also needed if the design is to be successful. Contemporary homes which use monochromatic colours offer a fresh and chic look with minimal amounts of furniture and definitely no clutter! Take a look at any interior design magazine and you will very rarely see any images of rooms with clutter!
